Advance Your Career with Premier Equipment We are currently looking for a highly proficient Senior Field Service Technician to handle the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of specialized sewer maintenance and vacuum truck systems. Role Overview As a Senior Field Service Technician, you will function as the primary technical authority for the maintenance, repair, and diagnostic oversight of all Vector and Vac-Con equipment models. You will utilize your advanced skills in CAN Bus diagnostics, mechanical repair, and hydraulics to ensure peak equipment performance while maintaining a high standard of customer care. Operating with significant autonomy, you will manage your own service tasks, provide clear technical guidance, document all work precisely, and assist with assembly or specialized service projects as the business demands. Core Responsibilities Identify and resolve operational or electrical issues across all Vector and Vac-Con equipment lines. Help ensure equipment reliability by troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, water, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Execute sophisticated diagnostics on electronic control modules, multiplex electrical systems, and Controller Area Network (CAN Bus) architectures. Analyze technical manuals, blueprints, hydraulic diagrams, and intricate electrical schematics to guide repairs. Use advanced diagnostic software, scan tools, oscilloscopes, and digital multimeters to pinpoint communication and electrical faults. Restore functionality to relays, switches, controllers, sensors, and wiring harnesses. Ensure efficient repair timelines by accurately identifying necessary supplies, parts, and materials. Maintain equipment health through consistent inspections, preventative maintenance, and thorough troubleshooting. Verify that all repairs meet performance standards by operating Vac-Con and Vector machinery. Support operational transparency by completing electronic documentation and service work orders in a timely manner. Foster strong client relationships by clearly communicating repair recommendations and technical findings. Help maintain a safe and orderly workspace for the entire team. Support national field service operations through travel approximately 2-3 times per month. Assist with special projects and equipment assembly as required.
