About the Role Energy Diagnostics is looking for a hands-on IT & Systems Administrator to take ownership of our internal technology environment. Technology is becoming increasingly important to how we operate. Our team works across two offices and in the field, using computers, mobile devices, cloud-based systems, and proprietary technology to serve our customers. We are looking for someone who can make sure those systems work reliably while helping us continually improve how we use technology, and who will take ownership of our technology budget and vendor relationships to keep costs under control. This is not simply a help desk position. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership, and looks for ways to make our systems and our technology spend work better. What You'll Own Serve as the primary IT resource for approximately 90 employees Troubleshoot employee hardware, software, connectivity, and system issues Manage computers, mobile devices, printers, and other technology Administer user accounts, permissions, software, and system access Support employee onboarding and offboarding Manage technology inventory, purchasing, and replacement planning Manage our outside managed service provider, including scope, invoices, and escalations Manage relationships with technology and telecommunications vendors Help maintain cybersecurity, backups, and disaster recovery practices Support technology implementations and company-wide system changes Document systems, configurations, and IT processes Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve how we use technology Support the continued rollout and adoption of ConnectED, EDI's internal workflow platform Own the technology budget and actively identify cost-savings opportunities across cloud spend, licensing, and vendor contracts What We're Looking For 3+ years of hands-on IT experience Experience administering Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace Strong Windows, networking, and hardware troubleshooting skills Experience managing users, permissions, and devices Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals Comfort managing an outside vendor or MSP relationship, including holding them accountable to scope and cost Ability to troubleshoot independently and know when to escalate Strong communication skills and patience working with users of different technical abilities Organized, dependable, and comfortable owning projects from beginning to end Curious and proactive. You don't just fix problems, you look for ways to prevent them and to spend less time solving them Experience working for a managed IT service provider, supporting mobile/field workforces, or working with automation and integrations is a plus. Compensation $65,000-$75,000 annually, based on experience. What Success Looks Like in Year One Employees have a single, reliable point of contact for IT issues on-site Our outside MSP relationship is actively managed, right-sized, and no longer a source of frustration Documentation exists for our core systems, accounts, and recovery procedures At least one concrete cost-saving change has been identified and implemented (cloud, licensing, or vendor)
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
