Summary
Cape Cod Academy seeks a dynamic individual who is passionate about technology and the education environment to work 35 hours per week. The IT Coordinator will manage the information technology needs of the school in concert with a remote outsourced IT provider. Responsible for supporting the IT needs of the faculty and staff across Cape Cod Academy.
Primary Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Provide day to day management of IT including data network and backup systems, internet, firewall, and security issues, databases, servers, computers, printers, projectors, telephone systems (with training) and miscellaneous hardware.
Provides assistance to the communications department and database coordinator including the technical side of the school's web content platform.
Provide support and/or training for software systems including google classroom, school dude, etc. for all users.
Assist Business Manager with vendor relations, procurement, installation, and implementation of information systems, both hardware and software.
Assist the Director of Finance with the negotiation and renewal of contracts in a timely manner for internet, website, network consultants, etc.
Ensure the coordination, security and efficiency of network infrastructure. Help develop, maintain, and/or support the school's internal and external networks.
Manage inventory of all school-owned or leased equipment including desktops/laptops, Ipads, interactive whiteboards, projectors, copiers, and printers as well as all school purchased software licenses while planning for timely replacements.
Provide maintenance and support for all classroom and office hardware and software throughout the school.
Assess and respond to IT needs as voiced by faculty, administration, and staff, as well as to students relative to CCA technology integration.
Assist with the management of the school's compliance with external entities in order to protect private/secure information.
Develop, update, and maintain network documentation of infrastructure, accounts and passwords.
Create new user accounts for students (minors) and employees using Active Directory to ensure secure and appropriate network access and compliance with state and federal laws.
Manage user accounts in GSuite, including updating and maintaining email distribution groups.
Assist with the management of voice/text/email alert system and maintain ticketing system documenting IT issues, time expended, and resolution data.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field including information technology, electrical engineering, etc., or a related field.
Two or three years of relevant IT experience preferably in a school environment.
Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing.
Ability to build consensus and collaborate with people at all levels of the organization.
