Job Description

Job Overview RoCo Tech Services is looking for a motivated Systems Administrator II to join our Managed Services team. This position is ideal for someone who is ready to take ownership of client environments, participate in infrastructure projects, and continue developing their technical expertise. As a Tier II Systems Administrator, you'll work alongside senior engineers supporting businesses throughout New England. You'll troubleshoot complex technical issues, assist with server and cloud administration, and play a key role in maintaining secure, reliable client environments. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve escalated desktop, server, and network issues. Administer Windows Server environments and Active Directory. Manage Microsoft 365 users, licensing, Exchange Online, and Entra ID. Configure and support DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file permissions. Support virtualization environments including VMware and Hyper-V. Assist with Microsoft 365, Azure, and server migration projects. Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, switches, and wireless networks. Monitor backup systems and perform disaster recovery testing. Document client environments, procedures, and resolutions. Work directly with clients to provide exceptional technical support and guidance. Escalate complex issues to Senior Systems Engineers when appropriate. Participate in on-site client visits and project deployments as needed. Qualifications 3-5 years of professional IT experience. Previous MSP experience strongly preferred. Strong Windows desktop and Windows Server troubleshooting skills. Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments. Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, switches, wireless). Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional onsite client visits. Preferred Experience Experience with some or all of the following: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 Microsoft 365 Entra ID (Azure AD) Microsoft Intune VMware or Hyper-V SonicWall, Fortinet, Meraki, or Ubiquiti Azure fundamentals Backup solutions ConnectWise, Halo PSA, or Autotask PowerShell (basic scripting)
Microsoft Exchange Online SharePoint Online Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
