Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Overtime and after-hours work as required) Position Summary A&B Commercial Solutions (A&B Lock and Security) is seeking a motivated experienced Low Voltage Security Service Technician to install, service, and maintain commercial electronic security and low-voltage systems throughout New Hampshire and Southern Maine. This position is primarily service, smaller scale installation, preventive maintenance and works on access control, video surveillance, intrusion alarms, networking, structured cabling, ADA door operators, and integrated security solutions. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable troubleshooting electrical and network-based systems, and takes pride in delivering professional customer service. Primary Responsibilities Install and service commercial access control systems Install and troubleshoot IP video surveillance (CCTV) systems Install and program intrusion alarm systems Pull, terminate, label, and test CAT5e, CAT6, fiber optic, and security cabling Install card readers, request-to-exit devices, electric strikes, magnetic locks, and power supplies Configure network-connected security devices Install and troubleshoot commercial wireless bridges and networking equipment Install and service ADA automatic door operators Perform preventative maintenance inspections Diagnose equipment failures and determine repair solutions Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals Document completed work with photos and detailed service reports Maintain company vehicle, inventory, and tools Communicate with customers regarding system operation and project status Follow all company safety policies and applicable codes
REQUIRED
2+ Years Field Experience In Like Position Experience with one or more of the following:
Access Control Systems:
PDK, DMP, Feenics, Brivo, Mercury, Linear and others
Alarms/Intrusion:
Honeywell & DMP Basic door hardware, electrified hardware, doors, frames, ADA (will train in house)
all IP brands with base knowledge of legacy systems
Networking:
Ubiquiti, OVRC, WattBox, Araknis, basic unmanaged hardware and PTPs Structured cabling and network infrastructure, fiber optic cabling and termination suggested
NO FIRE ALARM
work currently or for future Experience in locksmithing is a plus but not required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass background check Ability to lift 75 lbs.
