Deputy Commissioner of Information Technology (Exempt Position)
Location:
Town Hall, North Hempstead, NY Compensation:
$90,000 Annual Salary
TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Operating Systems & Software:
Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SQL Server Management, Microsoft Exchange (On-Prem & Online), Remote Desktop, Virtual Environments, iOS/Android setup,
ADP Time Entry Network & Security:
BitDefender, Cisco Umbrella, Active Directory, Group Policy, Duo Mobile (2FA),
DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS Communication & Remote Access:
Zoom, Cisco (Access Points / Switches / Meraki Dashboard / Secure Client and ASA)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Infrastructure, Systems & Network Administration:
Work with the senior network admin to spearhead infrastructure and network overhauls, including replacing core switches and access points to boost performance and reliability. Work with the system admins to oversee all aspects of IT network and infrastructure configuration across hardware and software. Help manage critical systems including backup solutions (Barracuda), Active Directory, Group Policy, and Two-Factor Authentication (Duo Mobile, Office Authenticator).
Vendor Management, Operations & User Enablement:
Help identify and/or coordinate with vendors to negotiate hardware leases, test new equipment, and deploy systems firm-wide. Provide Level 2 technical support and participate in after-hours/on-call critical troubleshooting.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor and 3 years of experience (or equivalent)

Communication:
Excellent communications skills with the ability to communicate well with colleagues at all levels.
