Health, 401k, PTO Position Summary The Systems Administrator II provides operational support for Windows, Linux, virtual, and enterprise infrastructure systems. The position is responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, patch management, and performance monitoring of information systems supporting museum operations. Typical Systems Administrator II functions include maintaining assigned systems, resolving hardware/software issues, and serving as a technical expert for supported platforms. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers.
  • Perform user account administration and access management.
  • Apply patches, updates, and security configurations.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and storage utilization.
  • Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Support virtualization and cloud-based technologies as applicable.
  • Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Support cybersecurity requirements and STIG compliance efforts.
  • Work closely with
ISSM/ISSO
personnel to remediate vulnerabilities. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of system administration experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
