Job Description

F&P America Manufacturing has been a part of the Troy community for more than 25 years. Our world-class workforce utilizes the most advanced processes to produce the highest quality Chassis Systems, Suspension Parts, Pedal Assemblies and more for the world's leading automakers. We are seeking highly qualified candidates for the following opportunity. System Administrator

Position Summary:

This onsite position plans and coordinates configuration and operations of all personal computers, servers, and computer networks. Provides technical service support; installation, maintenance, and monitors/develops procedures for personal computer, server, printer, and network management.

Position Responsibilities:

Recommends, installs, and maintains: personal computers, servers, label printers, laser printers, RF scanners, and networks. Ensures that backup, recovery, and security procedures are set up and performed as planned. Ensures the accuracy of the hardware and software inventory. Ensures that standard hardware/software configurations are adhered to. Monitors the utilization of all networks to detect potential errors or problems and provides necessary prevention guidelines. Assists with personal computer software issues and projects as requested. Maintain software licensing servers. Executes assigned project tasks within established schedule. Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and mission of the organization. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education - Requires Bachelor's degree or technical certification or equivalent work experience. Demonstrates ability to prioritize conflicting demands. Communicates effectively both verbally and written.

Desired Skills:

Experience with UNIX or HP-UX. Experience with IBM System i or IBM Power Systems. Microsoft Hyper-V Administration. Experience with Manufacturing ERP systems such as MTMS or Epicor CMS. Extreme Networks and/or FortiGate networking experience.

Work Environment:

Office environment with frequent need to be on production plant floor to install or repair computer equipment. Four building campus located in close proximity. 24/7 manufacturing facility with rotating on-call support. F&P America Manufacturing offers competitive salaries and overtime, at straight-time, after 50 hours per week. Additional eligible pay includes bonus potential.
