Job Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW
The South Carolina Farm Bureau Federation (SCFB) is the largest, oldest, and most respected nonprofit agricultural membership organization in our state. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Membership Systems Specialist supports the organization-hosted association management software (AMS), focusing on membership-related functionality. This role involves collaborating with the AMS provider and other vendors to ensure seamless integration and functionality, particularly with systems like communications, financial, learning management, website, marketing, and community platforms.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Membership System Support Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics-based association management system (AMS). Assist with the daily administration and maintenance of membership-related system functions. Help troubleshoot AMS issues and coordinate with vendors or internal resources when needed. Identify opportunities to improve membership processes and staff efficiency. Assist in testing new enhancements, features, and system updates. Support the documentation of system processes and procedures. Membership Data Management Maintain accurate and complete membership records within the AMS. Review records for accuracy and assist with data cleanup efforts. Help ensure consistent data entry standards across the organization. Assist with membership imports, exports, updates, and audits. Learn and apply new AMS features and technology tools. Support membership recruitment, retention, and renewal efforts through accurate data management. Reporting and Analytics Generate routine and ad hoc membership reports. Assist staff with report and query requests. Monitor membership trends and prepare basic summaries for leadership and staff. Support the development of dashboards and reporting tools as skills and organizational needs evolve. Membership Communications Support Assist with email communications for current members, prospective members, and renewing members. Support audience segmentation and mailing list management. Coordinate with staff to maintain consistent membership communications. Help track communication effectiveness and member engagement. Training and User Support Provide first-level support for AMS-related questions and issues. Assist staff in understanding membership processes and system functionality. Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with special projects or providing support to other areas as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to learn new software applications and technology systems. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, especially in a hosted software environment. Strong communication and training skills; ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
