The Position:
We are looking for a positive, energetic Control System Specialist with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants are expected to be able to:
General Expectations:
Provide scope development and execution of installation and commissioning of instrumentation.
Perform Long Term Proactive Monitoring (LTPM) activities which include use of Emerson's AMS application (where applicable) to catch instrument failures before they happen.
Perform causal investigations on instrumentation failures.
Ensure I&PC documentation is kept updated, especially as updated by run and maintain Management of Change (MOCs).
Be an ambassador for the Integrity of our Operational Technology (OT) domain and have an awareness of the threats to the OT domain.
Respond to off-hour callouts. Ability to coordinate and manage multiple jobs.
Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations
Maintenance Execution (ME) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
Support:
Generate scope for maintenance to execute repairs
Support maintenance, as requested via escalation process, with troubleshooting and repair activities. Contribute to the RCM Living Program by creating/updating Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans for instrumentation
Assist maintenance techs and leads in issuing work packages or troubleshooting problems.
SIS:
Work with other members of the I&PC department (e.g., Control Systems Engineer (CSE), Control Systems Instrument Specialist, Control Systems Strategy Engineer, SIS Focal Point) to investigate trips and make recommendations for changes to the Basic Process Control Systems (BPCS) and/or SIS to prevent reoccurrence.
Evaluate failure of SIS components and systems.
Instrumentation:
Specify new equipment and replacements of obsolete equipment. Consider utilization of approved vendors and standardized equipment models.
Coordinate single-discipline MOCs. Complete MOC evaluation and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) items for changes in assigned area. Conduct PSSRs.
Review instrumentation system revisions through MOCs for compliance with site standards and strategies.
Review completed Capital Projects with Project CSEs to ensure all required deliverables are provided and complete. Provide technical support for instrument related hardware (DCS, PLC, transmitters, valves, tank gauge systems).
Requirements:

Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Written Skill Assessment
Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks
Minimum 4 years craft-specific experience
Associate's degree in Instrumentation
