Client Service Specialist

Job Description

Full Job Description Client Services Specialist Location:
Kingsland, Texas. On-site during training; may be eligible for a hybrid schedule after training.
Hours:
Full-time, Monday through Friday Reports to: Manager of Support Services About Our Company At Security Snapshot, we provide managed cybersecurity services to financial advisory firms and broker-dealer offices operating under SEC and FINRA regulation. Our clients depend on us to keep their systems secure, patched, and audit-ready. As a Client Services Representative, you are the primary point of contact for those firms. That means real relationship work — advisors and their office staff will know you by name — and it also means real technical work. You will investigate why a device is showing non-compliant, walk a client through resolving it, document what happened, and follow it to closure. Your day is spent working in technical tools and on the phone. This role suits someone who genuinely enjoys both halves of that. If you want client relationships without the troubleshooting, or troubleshooting without the client contact, this is not the right fit — and we would rather tell you that now than after you start. If this is the right fit for you, we're committed to creating an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. We offer opportunities for growth, and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day. Job Responsibilities and Tasks Serve as the first point of contact for client firms via phone and email, responding promptly and following issues through to resolution. Troubleshoot Windows and Microsoft 365 issues independently — user accounts, mail, connectivity, printing, and application errors — escalating when a problem exceeds your scope. Investigate and resolve device compliance exceptions, including missing patches, outdated software versions, endpoint protection agent issues, and encryption status. Work daily in various applications/consoles to research issues and produce client reports. Explain technical findings clearly and patiently to non-technical advisors and office staff. Document all client interactions accurately in our systems. These records are audit-relevant and may be reviewed by regulators. Identify recurring issues across client offices and raise them with the team. Collaborate with team members to share insights and improve our processes. Skills and Qualifications Required One or more years in technical support, IT helpdesk, or a technically-oriented client service role — or demonstrated hands-on technical aptitude. Comfortable troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 issues independently, and knowing when to escalate rather than guess. Working knowledge of core endpoint concepts: operating system patching, antivirus and endpoint protection agents, encryption status, and the reasons a device might report as non-compliant. Ability to learn and work in various applications/web consoles, and to pull, read, and explain the reports they produce. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings for a non-technical audience. Detail-oriented documentation habits. Ability to manage a queue, multitask, and stay calm under deadline pressure. High school diploma or GED. Must pass a background check. Preferred Experience with endpoint management tools. Exposure to security awareness training or phishing simulation platforms such as KnowBe4. Familiarity with SEC/FINRA-regulated environments, or prior experience supporting financial services firms. CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent coursework. Experience supporting remote or branch offices. Salary $42,000 - $52,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Company Benefits Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees. 401(k) with employer match. Paid Time Off (PTO) and sick leave. Performance-based bonuses. Application Information Ready to join our team? Submit your application, including your resume and a cover letter. Selected candidates will be contacted for an initial phone interview, followed by additional interviews as needed. For questions or updates, please contact Lorinda Peters at 515-954-7774, ext. 102.
