Job Description

Overview/Overview This is a full-time position (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Looking for individuals who are seeking long-term employment and growth opportunities with our company. I.T. Systems Administrator will provide friendly, knowledgeable technical support to PAC staff and assist in maintaining server infrastructure. Port Angeles Composite, located in Port Angeles, WA. is a growing, progressive company and expects not just problem resolution, but the ability to identify computer workflow inefficiencies and provide solutions. PAC recognizes that people skills are paramount in importance. The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of PAC information technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity controls, backups, disaster recovery, and enterprise business systems. The position serves as a technical resource across all departments and proactively identifies opportunities to improve reliability, security, efficiency, and productivity. I.T. Systems Administrator should be able to interact with coworkers in a polite and friendly manner. This position is for full-time work with hours from 7-3:30 - Mon - Fri. Duties • Resolve computer support problems reported to Help Desk Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software and applications problems. Resolve as many user-reported problems as expertise permits using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases. Install hardware and software on a Windows Server Domain. Uses advanced troubleshooting skills. Escalate problems as appropriate following PAC procedures. Maintain Windows & Linux Servers Plan, troubleshoot, & maintain network infrastructure. Solve problems on Windows platforms with proficiency. Resolve and troubleshoot Printer & Scanner drivers / software. Maintain in-depth knowledge of PAC supported network infrastructure. Perform basic computer skill training to PAC staff. Review and update Help Desk / Intranet documentation as assigned. Review and recommend modifications to procedures. Gather and input data for regular reports distributed by PAC Help Desk. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong knowledge of information technology systems and Microsoft products Proven troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels of the organization Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion Ability to work independently and take initiative in resolving issues Experience working in a help desk or technical support environment preferred Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of information technology and Microsoft products Ability to work with all types of personalities. 3-5 years of IT administration experience; windows server, active directory, Microsoft 365, networking, backup/recovery, advanced troubleshooting. Ability to take instruction constructively. Shows initiative and acts independently to resolve problems U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills Demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate by phone or in person, across all departments. Experience with Windows Domain / Active Directory Work Environment & Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and industrial conditions Capable of standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout the day across multiple buildings Ability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs as needed Must follow all safety and compliance regulations (including OSHA and FAA standards) Closing Statement If you're a motivated problem-solver who enjoys helping others and improving systems, this is a great opportunity to grow your IT career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
