Summary While upholding the Star Valley Health mission, vision and values this key position under general direction, supports, maintains, and evaluates computer networking and telecommunication systems. Installs, configures, and maintains both physical and virtual computer servers. Provides End User Help Desk support. This is an at will position. Job Duties Essential Oversees the day-to-day operation of computer systems including hardware/software support, training, and special projects Manages, configures and maintains all enterprise servers Researches and recommends server technologies and hardware/software Assist in installing, designing, configuring, and maintaining system hardware/software Analyzes and troubleshoots the system logs and tracks the nature and resolution of problems Monitors usage to ensure security of data and access privileges Installs, supports and maintain both physical and virtual servers and appliances Establishes and maintains user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and security Researches, analyzes, monitors, troubleshoots and resolves server problems Maintains systems support, and archiving procedures, performs daily server tape backups Keep current regarding new hardware/software products for system enhancements Assists and provides support to IT Director, other IT staff as requested including performing scheduled network tasks, updating anti-virus definition files, monitoring network servers, and providing internet and intranet user support, and specialized training Email/Internet/System support establishes and maintains user email accounts Provides email training, and software support Provides email documentation and updates to user manual as needed Manages anti-spam and anti-virus servers In conjunction and cooperation with the other IT staff will arrange for after hour call coverage to meet the needs of SV Health Possession of a valid driver's license with the ability and willingness to travel on work assignments, willingness to work additional hours during the week and/or weekend Non-essential Other duties as needs arise

Essential Working knowledge of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), Internet, email systems, telecommunications and data communications Standard operating systems, software packages, and software utilities Proper records maintenance and storage for local and distributed environments Strong multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon requires and need
Experience & Education:
Essential Any combination of education and training equivalent to possession of a bachelor's degree in computer science, information engineering or other related areas Experience in all areas of local and wide area networks management and administration including systems configuration, setup, troubleshooting, planning, designing, implementation, and user support Experience installing and supporting Microsoft server technologies Experience supporting telecommunications equipment Non-essential Possession of a Systems Administration Certificate is preferred
Abilities:
Essential Plan, design, and maintain servers Administer day-to-day operation of servers, provide technical support to users Communicate effectively in both oral and written form Explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to clients and staff Keep current by reading, interpreting, and applying information on technological changes and updates. Interpret and apply technical instructions Prioritize requests, organize, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities and projects Ability to learn new software/hardware packages Work independently and as a team member Comply with HIPAA and other federal, state and local regulations as well as maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in patient and staff matters Constant sitting, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, bending and reaching throughout the day. Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds on a regular basis Non-essential Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds or more on occasion
