IN PERSON
you will act as a first level of support for Police Department information technology needs. This role ensures that technology systems, digital tools, and data driven solutions fully support law enforcement operations, officer safety, and community focused policing. By aligning IT capabilities with departmental needs, the liaison enhances efficiency, reliability, and strategic decision making. To act a second level of support for incoming calls to the IT Department for technical assistance and to install, support, and maintain PC hardware and software. Provide help desk assistance to city employees; troubleshoot problems and take corrective action; and to stay aware of advancements in technology as it relates to the city's installed systems. Minimum qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of four years of PC support experience, including installation, configuration and maintenance of various hardware and software, or associate or bachelor's degree with major course work in computer science or related field plus two years of PC support experience.
Preferred Experience:
Police CAD/RMS systems, Axon car and body cams
Desired Certifications:
CompTIA A+. CompTIA Network+. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE). Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). ACJIS Certified (past and/or present)
Licenses or Certificates:
Ability to obtain valid Arizona driver's license within two months of hire.
