About International Gymnastics Camp Founded in 1971, International Gymnastics Camp (IGC) has welcomed more than 150,000 campers from over 60 countries. Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, IGC has built a more than 50-year legacy of excellence in gymnastics, summer camp, safety, and education. Our campus includes a wide variety of residential, recreational, athletic, administrative, and operational facilities. Reliable technology, communications, networking, and security systems are essential to supporting our year-round operations and maintaining a safe and well-functioning campus. About the Role IGC is seeking an experienced, hands-on IT & Security Systems Technician to support and improve the technology infrastructure across our campus. This is not strictly a desk-based IT position. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable troubleshooting a computer or network issue and working hands-on to install wiring, cameras, network equipment, and security systems throughout our property. The ideal candidate has experience with IT support, networking, low-voltage wiring, surveillance cameras, and security technology and enjoys solving problems in a diverse, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities IT & Network Support Provide day-to-day technical support for computers, printers, phones, network equipment, and other technology Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and network issues Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computers and related equipment Assist with maintaining wired and wireless networks throughout campus Install and configure routers, switches, wireless access points, and other networking equipment Help maintain reliable internet and network connectivity across multiple buildings and outdoor areas Maintain organized documentation of equipment, network infrastructure, passwords, configurations, and technology assets Assist with technology setup for offices, seasonal operations, special events, and other campus needs Cameras & Security Systems Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot security cameras and video surveillance systems Assist with the design and placement of camera systems to provide effective coverage of appropriate campus areas Install and configure network video recorders (NVRs), storage devices, monitors, and related surveillance equipment Maintain and troubleshoot existing camera systems and replace or upgrade equipment when needed Assist with the installation and maintenance of access control, security, alarm, and related systems Ensure cameras and security equipment remain operational and properly connected to the network Maintain documentation of security system equipment and installations Wiring & Infrastructure Install and terminate Ethernet and other low-voltage cabling Run network and security wiring throughout buildings and appropriate outdoor campus locations Install wall jacks, patch panels, equipment racks, cameras, access points, and related hardware Test, label, organize, and troubleshoot network cabling Identify wiring and connectivity issues and make necessary repairs Help plan infrastructure improvements for future technology and security needs Maintain clean, organized, and professional wiring installations Coordinate with electricians, maintenance staff, vendors, and other professionals when projects require multiple trades Qualifications & Experience Previous professional experience in IT support, networking, low-voltage systems, security systems, or a related technical field Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting wired and wireless networks Experience installing Ethernet/network cabling and low-voltage wiring Experience with security camera installation, configuration, and troubleshooting Understanding of IP-based cameras and network-connected security equipment Familiarity with routers, switches, wireless access points, patch panels, and network infrastructure Strong computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills Ability to diagnose technical problems and develop practical solutions Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to document systems, equipment, wiring, and configurations Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments and outside vendors Strong commitment to security, privacy, professionalism, and confidentiality Additional Skills Are a Plus Experience with any of the following is especially valuable: CCTV and IP surveillance systems NVR/DVR systems Access control systems Alarm and security systems Structured cabling Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and termination Fiber-optic networking PoE networking and devices Network switches and VLANs Wi-Fi infrastructure and wireless access points Server and network equipment VoIP phone systems Microsoft 365 Windows and macOS environments Mobile device management Cloud-based security or surveillance platforms IT asset management and documentation Physical & Work Requirements Because this is a hands-on IT infrastructure position, candidates must be comfortable: Working throughout a large, multi-building campus Carrying and installing technology and networking equipment Using ladders and working at elevated locations when appropriate Running and terminating low-voltage cable Working in equipment rooms and other appropriate installation areas Working both indoors and outdoors as projects require Responding to occasional urgent IT, network, or security system issues Working at IGC Our IT and Facilities teams play an important role in keeping IGC connected, secure, functional, and prepared for the thousands of campers, families, and staff who are part of our community each year.
