Active DoD Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI strongly preferred About the Opportunity We are seeking a mid-senior Scrum Master to support mission-focused technology programs involving Government customers, cloud applications, digital engineering platforms, data solutions, workflow applications, APIs, dashboards, and decision-support systems. This role is focused on helping Agile teams plan, coordinate, execute, and deliver secure, usable, mission-aligned software and cloud application capabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with Government stakeholders, Program Managers, Product Owners, Product Managers, software engineers, systems engineers, data teams, QA teams, UX teams, technical leads, and leadership to support predictable delivery, clear communication, sprint discipline, risk visibility, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has experience supporting Agile or hybrid technical delivery environments, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing backlog and sprint rhythms, removing blockers, tracking dependencies, improving team execution, and ensuring customer priorities are translated into clear, actionable delivery work. This is an onsite position based in Albuquerque, New Mexico , supporting the same mission technology program and customer environment referenced in the Program Manager role. The attached program description identifies the location as 2000 Wyoming Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123 , with onsite/in-office expectations and limited remote flexibility. Key ResponsibilitiesAgile Delivery & Scrum Facilitation Serve as Scrum Master for one or more mission-focused software, cloud application, data, or digital engineering teams. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning. Help teams maintain clear sprint goals, committed work, delivery timelines, dependencies, and acceptance criteria. Support predictable delivery by reinforcing Agile discipline, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Track sprint progress, team capacity, impediments, risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies. Help teams identify delivery challenges early and drive action plans through resolution. Support release planning, user acceptance activities, customer demonstrations, and operational readiness. Backlog, Requirements & Delivery Coordination Work with Product Owners, Product Managers, Program Managers, business analysts, systems engineers, and technical leads to ensure the backlog is organized, prioritized, and actionable. Help translate customer needs into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and implementation tasks. Support requirements traceability from customer need through design, development, testing, deployment, and acceptance. Identify unclear, incomplete, conflicting, or untestable requirements and coordinate refinement with the appropriate stakeholders. Maintain visibility into backlog health, sprint readiness, story dependencies, and delivery risks. Support change control, requirements refinement, and stakeholder alignment throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle. Technical Team Coordination Coordinate work across software engineering, systems engineering, data, QA, UX, DevSecOps, cloud application, and product teams. Partner with technical leads to understand architecture decisions, integration risks, data dependencies, security constraints, and delivery blockers. Help bridge customer priorities, product direction, and engineering execution. Support design reviews, technical planning sessions, integration planning, sprint execution, testing, and release readiness. Ensure technical workstreams remain aligned with mission objectives, program priorities, and customer expectations. Help teams manage dependencies across APIs, data platforms, dashboards, workflow tools, digital engineering systems, and decision-support capabilities. Customer & Stakeholder Support Support Program Managers and Product Owners in customer-facing meetings, program reviews, discovery sessions, demonstrations, and planning workshops. Communicate Agile delivery status, sprint progress, risks, impediments, dependencies, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Build strong working relationships with Government customers, mission users, technical teams, and leadership. Help ensure customer needs are understood, documented, prioritized, and reflected in the team backlog. Support executive updates, solution walkthroughs, sprint reviews, and customer demonstrations as needed. Maintain a clear connection between mission priorities and team execution. Metrics, Reporting & Delivery Visibility Maintain Agile delivery metrics such as sprint burndown, velocity, cycle time, backlog readiness, impediment trends, and delivery predictability. Prepare or support sprint reports, roadmap updates, risk registers, dependency trackers, status reports, and delivery dashboards. Use delivery metrics to identify improvement opportunities and support practical decision-making. Provide clear visibility into progress, blockers, schedule risks, and delivery confidence. Help teams improve estimation, planning accuracy, work breakdown, and sprint execution. Continuous Improvement & Team Enablement Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, delivery discipline, and effective collaboration. Support a culture of accountability, transparency, adaptability, and mission focus. Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to planning, documentation, backlog management, testing coordination, stakeholder communication, and release execution. Help reduce unnecessary process overhead while improving clarity, quality, and delivery outcomes. Mentor team members on Agile best practices, communication, dependency management, and delivery ownership. Support onboarding of new team members as programs scale. Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship required. Active DoD Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Program Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Scrum Master, Agile delivery, project coordination, technical delivery, software delivery, systems delivery, or related technical program environments. Experience supporting technical teams delivering software, cloud applications, data systems, analytics tools, workflow applications, APIs, dashboards, or decision-support systems. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery practices, sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, retrospectives, release planning, and team facilitation. Experience working with Product Owners, Program Managers, technical leads, engineering teams, QA, data, UX, and customer stakeholders. Ability to help translate customer priorities into user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint plans, delivery actions, and team commitments. Strong experience tracking risks, blockers, dependencies, milestones, sprint progress, and delivery status. Strong verbal, written, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills. Ability to support workshops, briefings, planning sessions, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and customer-facing discussions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, stakeholders, teams, requirements, and timelines. Ability and willingness to work onsite in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Preferred Experience Active TS/SCI clearance. Experience supporting Government, defense, aerospace, Air Force, national security, or mission-focused technology programs. Experience working in secure or classified delivery environments. Experience supporting cloud application delivery involving AWS, Azure, GovCloud, secure cloud environments, or hybrid architectures. Experience with data platforms, workflow applications, APIs, dashboards, analytics tools, digital engineering systems, or decision-support capabilities. Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Miro, Figma, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar delivery platforms. Experience with requirements traceability, user acceptance testing, verification and validation, release readiness, or operational deployment. Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD, containerized applications, application modernization, cloud migration, or secure software delivery. Familiarity with MBSE, digital engineering, systems architecture, SysML, UML, or architecture modeling concepts. Experience supporting proposal development, technical assessments, implementation planning, customer value narratives, or solution planning. Additional Beneficial Experience Scrum Master, Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, Product Owner, PMP, or related Agile / delivery certification. Experience supporting AI-enabled applications, analytics platforms, knowledge management tools, automation, or data-driven decision-support systems. Familiarity with APIs, SQL, Python, JavaScript, XML, XSD, JSON, or data integration concepts. Experience preparing Agile delivery plans, sprint reports, roadmaps, executive briefings, risk registers, implementation plans, and technical documentation. Experience improving Agile maturity within growing technical teams. Ability to apply commercial Agile delivery experience to military, defense, or Government technology environments.
