Overview Bethany Insurance Agency is seeking a Software Developer to build and maintain applications that support our insurance operations. This role will work with leadership and department teams to improve workflows, automate routine tasks, and develop tools that help employees serve clients efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong technical and problem-solving skills and can translate business needs into reliable, user-friendly software.

Pay Range:

$135K Plus Bonus Duties Design, develop, test, and maintain internal applications and software tools. Collaborate with employees and leadership to define requirements and identify opportunities for improvement. Automate manual processes and improve the flow of information between systems. Build and maintain integrations with third-party platforms using APIs. Troubleshoot software issues and implement fixes. Develop and maintain databases, reports, and dashboards. Apply security practices to protect confidential business and client information. Document code, system configurations, and user procedures. Provide support and training for tools developed. Manage development priorities and communicate project progress. Skills Professional software development experience with examples of completed projects. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or comparable technologies. Experience with databases, SQL, APIs, and application integrations. Familiarity with Git and software testing practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to employees with varying technical backgrounds. Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments. Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Developing business applications, workflow automation, or reporting tools. Working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Supporting insurance, financial services, or other environments involving confidential information. Familiarity with insurance agency management systems, including Applied Epic. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or comparable technologies. Experience with databases, SQL, APIs, and application integrations. Familiarity with Git and software testing practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
