Linux Shell Scripting Full Job Description Embedded Software Engineer Location:

Santa Fe Springs, CA 100%

Onsite Pay Rate:

Travel:

Domestic travel may be required This position requires an active US Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Required Qualifications:

• Our client requires that candidates must have an active/current DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL) to start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with C++ design paradigms.
• Experience developing on Linux, VxWorks, or other Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications in C++.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python.

Position Summary:

• Supports all phases of the software development lifecycle on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Contributes to both new and legacy military and commercial programs.
• Works from concept and requirements through design, development, integration, testing, and potential maintenance activities.
• Develops solutions to complex system and software integration challenges.
• Collaborates closely with Systems Engineers to design solutions that meet operational and end-user needs.
• May require occasional domestic business travel.

Responsibilities:

Support software development lifecycle activities including:

• Requirements analysis
• System and software design
• Development
• Integration
• Testing
• Maintenance support
• Develop creative solutions for complex technical and software integration issues.
• Partner with Systems Engineers to develop effective technical solutions.
• Support military and commercial software programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with C, C#, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Experience working with physical hardware in laboratory environments, including test benches and simulators.
• Ability to understand and work within complex systems and existing code bases.
• Experience using Agile Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience using Git and GitLab.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience developing CUDA applications for NVIDIA GPUs. Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, including:
• Static code analysis
• Automated builds
• Automated testing
• Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Test-driven development Must be U.
