The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in F5 technologies with hands-on experience in infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), API-driven operations, and modern application delivery architectures. This individual will establish the enterprise strategy for resilient, secure, highly available, and automated application delivery platforms while partnering with networking, cloud, security, application, and infrastructure engineering teams. Key responsibilities Define enterprise architecture standards for F5 BIG-IP and enterprise application delivery platforms. Lead the modernization of application delivery platforms through automation, Infrastructure as Code, and API-driven provisioning. Design automated provisioning and lifecycle management for virtual servers, pools, monitors, certificates, policies, and DNS records. Establish engineering standards for infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible Automation Platform, Git, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines. Define enterprise standards for SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management and application security integration. Collaborate with networking, cloud, Linux, VMware, storage, identity, and cybersecurity teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions. Evaluate emerging technologies including Kubernetes Ingress, Gateway API, cloud-native load balancing, and service mesh architectures. Lead platform modernization initiatives, technology refreshes, migrations, and architecture reviews. Develop enterprise documentation, standards, operational procedures, and reference designs. Mentor engineering teams and promote automation-first engineering practices.
