Jobs › Mansfield, MA › Principal E-Commerce Engineer & So… Insight Global Principal E-Commerce Engineer & Solutions Architect Mansfield, MA Apply Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Principal E-Commerce Engineer & Solutions Architect to support our client in the foodservice and distribution industry. This person will serve as the technical leader for the organization's digital commerce ecosystem, combining high-level solution architecture with hands-on development expertise. The role is responsible for designing, building, integrating, and supporting scalable e-commerce solutions centered around Shopify Plus while translating business requirements into technical strategies and driving ongoing platform optimization. The individual will lead architecture decisions, develop custom applications and integrations, support production environments, and ensure the overall performance, scalability, security, and reliability of the commerce platform. On a day-to-day basis, this person will oversee the architecture, development, integration, and support of Shopify Plus, CRM, search, payment, and other enterprise systems. They will design and implement custom Shopify solutions including APIs, integrations, checkout extensions, automation workflows, B2B functionality, and multi-store environments, while also developing and optimizing storefront experiences using Shopify, Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, and other modern web technologies. Additionally, they will manage payment integrations and PCI-compliant solutions, enhance customer engagement platforms such as HubSpot and Algolia, and support HubSpot CMS development, workflows, automations, and CRM integrations. This individual will also establish architecture standards, documentation, CI/CD processes, deployment strategies, and operational best practices to ensure platform stability and efficiency. Beyond technical execution, the role requires strong leadership through solution design, code reviews, mentoring, and guidance of both internal teams and external partners. The position will work closely with stakeholders across E-Commerce, Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Product Management, and IT to deliver innovative digital commerce solutions that improve customer experience, platform performance, and business outcomes. Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience, including e-commerce platforms and applications.
• 6+ years of hands-on Shopify Plus development and architecture experience.
• 3+ years of experience with HubSpot development, CRM integrations, and enterprise search platforms such as Algolia.
• 3+ years in a Solutions Architect, Technical Lead, or Senior Engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and modern web technologies.
• Deep expertise in Shopify Plus, including Liquid, Graph

QL, REST

APIs, webhooks, Shopify Functions, and Checkout Extensibility.

• Experience with payment gateways, PCI-compliant commerce solutions, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, Agile methodologies, and Jira.
• Experience with HubSpot CMS, CRM, workflows, automation, and integrations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
• Proven ability to independently evaluate, architect, and deliver scalable technology solutions.
• Experience with Infor Rhythm or similar ecommerce platforms.
• Experience with B2B commerce solutions and multi-store commerce environments.
• Cloud architecture certifications and/or Shopify Plus certifications.
• Experience leading platform migrations and large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
