General Motors seeks an Application Engineer - Virtual Extender in Milford, MI.

Duties:

Develop a completely virtual embedded control system and virtual electronic control units (VECU) that serve as real-time virtual counterparts of physical ECUs. Work cross-functionally with Design Release Engineers, Tier 1 suppliers, and model integration partners to develop VECU packages. Deploy VECU packages to internal General Motors users. Apply production software to VECUs. Validate and verify VECU/Application software package integrity via various function and non-functional testing. Work cross-functionally with Simulation Integration Engineers to support the integration of VECUs onto virtual system benches. Deploy and maintain virtual software integration benches. Collaborate with software developers to root cause and solve low-level, basic software and application software issues found in the virtual environment. Debug VECUs and integrated production software as needed. Develop new simulation and test scrip capabilities to address expanding virtual ECU needs and usages. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-Office, 2 Days Remote - Must be able to report to local office.
