Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Mid-Level Java Engineer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking a Mid-Level Java Engineer to join a payments technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance API services, backendponents, and integrations that power an ACH (Automated Clearing House) payment origination platform. This position has a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
• Strong expertise in Spring / Spring Boot, REST API development, and microservices
• Mastery of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server)
• Experience building highly available, distributed backend systems
• Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, or similar) and NDM file transfer
• Knowledge of API security patterns (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS)

Desired skills:

Payment domain knowledge (ACH, NACHA), payment file formats (PPD, CCD, CTX)

Familiarity with event-driven architectures

Excellentmunication and documentation abilities

Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment

Background in financial services, banking, or regulatory environments

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
