Job Description

Junior Software Developer — SaaS / AWS This is an in-person position. Please only submit resumes if you are available to work in Washington NC. Thank you. I'm looking for a smart, motivated junior software developer to help maintain and expand a commercial SaaS employee-scheduling application. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate, self-taught programmer, or developer early in their career who wants substantial hands-on experience with a real production application. You do not need to be an expert. I'm looking for someone technically capable, curious, dependable, and eager to learn. The application was originally developed in Replit and now runs on AWS (Amazon Web Services) . Technologies include Git/GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, AWS, Stripe, Resend, APIs, and modern web development.
Work will include:
Making application improvements and adding new features/reports. Troubleshooting bugs. Working with PostgreSQL databases. Managing GitHub code and deployments. Learning and documenting the existing AWS infrastructure. Improving automated testing and staging/deployment processes. Helping simplify infrastructure and reduce operating costs. Working with Stripe, Resend, and other integrations. AI-assisted development is encouraged. We actively use tools such as Replit and ChatGPT to develop, troubleshoot, learn, and work more efficiently. You don't need experience with every technology listed above. More important is your ability to learn quickly, solve problems, research unfamiliar systems, and know when to ask for help. Part-time or full-time available. Starting pay approximately $20-$25/hour depending on experience. To apply, send a brief introduction, your experience, examples of projects or GitHub profile if available, and your availability.
