Description Alsqstop Management, LLC, in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, is in need of a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer position is responsible for the design and development of solutions to complex application problems related to web and mobile app and accounting software and for overseeing system administration and network management.

The duties include:
  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of new software or hardware systems or modifications of existing systems, including convenience store and gas station automation systems to optimize operations and customer service.
  • Develop intensive, ambitious technical strategies, short-term goals, and long-term objectives for the company, encompassing convenience store and gas station operations, such as fuel management, inventory control, and point-of-sale systems enhancement.
  • Manage and automate systems for convenience stores and gas stations using various hardware, software, and web solutions, including servers, to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
  • Develop system engineering, system integration, or distributed system architectures, leveraging deep knowledge of gas station and convenience store management.
  • Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.
  • Communicate with staff or clients to understand specific system requirements for the stores to tailor software solutions accordingly.
  • Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.
  • Provide technical guidance on all support for the development or troubleshooting of systems.
  • Monitor system operation to detect potential problems.
  • Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.
  • Configure servers, monitor network and system performance, and promptly troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Direct the analysis, development, and operation of complete computer systems.

Perform ongoing hardware and software maintenance operations, including installing or upgrading hardware or software, with a focus on minimizing disruptions to gas station and convenience store operations. The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer applications, or computer information systems; foreign degree equivalent is acceptable.
