Apply Now Job Description About the Role We're looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys solving business problems through technology and wants to work on mission-critical applications that directly support one of the largest fleet maintenance organizations in North America. You'll help modernize and enhance applications that keep Penske's maintenance operations running efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who can think beyond code, understand how data moves through a system, and collaborate with engineers, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver impactful solutions. What You'll Do
- Support modernization initiatives for enterprise maintenance applications
- Partner with internal & outsourced engineering teams
- Participate in Agile development cycles and sprint planning
- Analyze system architecture and data flow to improve user experience
- Collaborate on application redesign and modernization efforts
- Help drive technical decisions and solution designs Skills and Requirements Required Qualifications
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot
- 7-10 years of experience as a Fullstack Software Engineer
- Strong background in Java & Springboot (Version 17.0+)
- Strong Angular experience version 16.0+ (30%+ of their time in full-stack) o Knows how to share data between angular components
- Hands on Experience with migrating Java Applications to cloud platforms (OpenShift, AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in RESTful services and Microservice Architecture
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot Nice to Have
- Experience with application modernization initiatives
