Job Description

Embedded Software Engineer (Equipment Controls) Role Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Embedded Software Engineer to advance our core embedded software projects dedicated to advanced equipment controls. In this role, you will design, implement, and integrate secure embedded software solutions running on specialized hardware, interfacing directly with controls logic and human-machine interfaces (HMIs). This is a collaborative engineering position for a software professional eager to contribute to cutting-edge embedded systems within a multi-disciplinary team. You will participate in the complete software development lifecycle—from specifications and design prototyping to implementation and unit testing—ensuring robust integration across hardware and software subsystems. If you possess a strong foundation in C/C++ development and a passion for embedded controls, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Software Design & Development
  • Embedded Implementation:
    Design and implement secure, high-quality embedded software solutions specific to equipment controls and HMI interfaces.
  • Full-Lifecycle Support:
    Support the entire software development lifecycle, including drafting technical specifications, design documentation, prototyping, coding, and unit testing.
  • Controls Integration:
    Partner closely with firmware, hardware, controls, and application engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of system subsystems.
  • Quality & Delivery:
    Commit to delivering secure, robust software products on schedule while adhering to best-practice engineering standards. Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Cross-Functional Work:
    Actively participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
  • Process Enhancement:
    Support a positive team culture and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, version control workflows, and code quality gates. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience Baseline:
    oMinimum of 2+ years of hands-on embedded software development experience (highly successful recent graduates with robust internship or co-op experience in embedded controls will also be considered).
  • Technical Mastery:
    oStrong software design and programming skills in C and C++. oFamiliarity with modern development and collaboration tools, such as Git and Jira.
  • Core Competencies:
    Strong verbal and written communication skills; exceptional attention to detail; proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
