Laptops, desktops, monitors, drives, printers, servers, switches, commercial displays, and whatever else comes off the pallet. We're a small company with deep industry experience, and we've grown every year. The Job Our receiving team labels each unit and brings it to your bench. From there it's yours. You'll test and inspect it, clean or repair what needs it, and document what you found in our FileMaker system with condition notes and photos. Your notes are what the item gets sold on, so they need to be accurate and specific. The part that matters most is deciding how far to take each item. Some units are worth an RMA and a parts order. Some are worth twenty minutes with compressed air. Some are worth passing through as-is, broken, today, because the repair time costs more than the spread. Making that call well is the core of this role, and we'll teach you how we think about it. Key Responsibilities Test and diagnose laptops, desktops, monitors, drives, printers, servers, switches, and displays Clean, repair, reassemble, and configure hardware to get items sale-ready Photograph units and write clear, specific condition notes in our FileMaker system Grade condition accurately and flag defects that need to be disclosed File warranty and RMA claims with manufacturers and order replacement parts Judge repair-versus-pass-through on each unit to protect both throughput and margin Keep the bench area organized and help the warehouse team when volume demands it Suggest improvements to how we test, document, and process product What We're Looking For Comfortable with hardware components, repair terminology, and Windows 10/11 and macOS Strong troubleshooting instincts and the patience to document what you found Clear writer. Your condition notes become what a buyer reads. Self-directed. You'll get a cart of product and a priority, not a supervisor at your elbow. Willing to work on anything electronic, including categories you haven't seen before Adaptable. We're small and still building out our process, so the job will change as we grow. Able to lift 50 lbs; larger displays are two-person lifts A+ or Microsoft certifications are a plus, not a requirement Prior refurbishment, ITAD, repair shop, or electronics retail experience is a strong plus Pay and Growth $16.00/hr starting for candidates with solid hardware fundamentals Up to $20.00/hr for candidates bringing refurbishment, ITAD, or repair experience Pay review at 90 days We're growing, and the shape of this team is going to change. Technicians who learn our systems and show good judgment have a path into listing and merchandising, inventory control, and freight coordination.
