As an Industrial Automation Maintenance Specialist, you'll keep URBN's material handling and facility systems running smoothly. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated equipment while driving preventive maintenance and reliability improvements in a fast-paced operation. Core Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems (up to 480V). Service and replace motors, VFDs, sensors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic components. Troubleshoot automation such as conveyors, sortation, ASRS, and packaging lines. Clear jams, resolve sensor faults, and correct minor electrical or pneumatic failures. Execute preventive maintenance and perform system calibrations. Read electrical schematics and perform basic PLC/HMI diagnostics. Document work orders and activities in a CMMS with accuracy. Spot failure patterns, support root cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement. Collaborate with peers, vendors, and support teams; provide guidance to junior technicians. Qualifications Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities. Knowledge of pneumatics and conveyor operations. Foundational understanding of PLCs and controls. Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills; comfortable working independently. High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred. 2+ years in industrial maintenance with exposure to automation, conveyors, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to interpret schematics and conduct basic PLC troubleshooting. Familiarity with CMMS platforms. Physical Requirements Stand and walk throughout a shift. Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods. Reach, pull, push, and lift items up to 50 pounds of varying size and shape. Safely operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, box cutter, carts) requiring coordinated movements.
