The role will focus on building scalable automation solutions, establishing governance and standards, enabling continuous testing, and demonstrating measurable business value through automation. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on automation expertise with architecture, strategy, consulting, and stakeholder leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and drive the enterprise Test Automation Strategy, roadmap, architecture, and adoption plan aligned with business and Quality Engineering objectives. Architect and govern scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks across UI, API, data, and E2E testing. Conduct Automation Maturity Assessments, identify gaps, and develop transformation roadmaps to improve automation effectiveness and adoption. Establish automation governance, coding standards, design reviews, framework standards, and engineering best practices. Drive in-sprint automation and continuous testing through integration with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines. Partner with functional, development, DevOps, and business teams to identify and automate business-critical E2E workflows. Define and track automation KPIs, coverage, productivity, execution efficiency, ROI, and quality outcomes. Evaluate emerging automation technologies and recommend solutions that improve speed, maintainability, scalability, and quality. Provide technical leadership and guidance to automation teams while partnering with client stakeholders to drive enterprise automation transformation.
Must Have Skills:
15+ years of experience in Quality Engineering/Test Automation, with significant experience as a Test Automation Architect or Automation Lead Architect. Proven hands-on automation experience across Selenium, Playwright, and UFT, combined with strong expertise in designing and governing enterprise-scale automation frameworks. Strong experience architecting automation across UI, API, and E2E testing layers. Proven experience defining enterprise automation strategy, architecture, roadmap, standards, and governance. Strong experience implementing Continuous Testing and CI/CD integration using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or equivalent platforms. Experience conducting Automation Maturity Assessments and developing automation transformation roadmaps. Strong understanding of automation framework design, reusable components, coding standards, code reviews, maintainability, and scalability. Experience defining and reporting automation KPIs, coverage, productivity improvements, execution efficiency, and ROI. Strong client-facing consulting, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Key Success Profile:
The ideal candidate should be able to operate at three levels — hands-on technology, automation architecture, and enterprise strategy and clearly demonstrate how automation improves quality, release velocity, engineering productivity, and drive business value. The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $41.61/hour - $65.01/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
