$69/hour Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer to support software quality initiatives, test automation, and end-to-end quality assurance for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software testing, test automation frameworks, API testing, and quality engineering practices across the software development lifecycle. The Senior QE Engineer will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other quality engineering professionals to ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios. Build, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks to improve test coverage and execution efficiency. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing. Develop and execute automated tests for web applications, APIs, and backend services. Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar technologies. Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot software defects throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with software developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure testability. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and deployment. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Perform root-cause analysis of defects and work with development teams to resolve quality issues. Establish and maintain quality metrics, test reports, and documentation. Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation coverage, and overall software quality. Support performance, reliability, and scalability testing where required. Ensure adherence to established quality standards, engineering best practices, and release criteria. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Significant experience in software quality engineering, software testing, or test automation. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies. Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks. Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress. Experience with API testing, RESTful services, and backend validation. Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira and similar platforms. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Understanding of CI/CD practices and automated testing integration. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud-based applications and distributed systems. Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools. Experience with SQL queries, database validation, and data integrity testing. Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or similar solutions. Experience with test reporting, quality metrics, and risk-based testing. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
