This role will focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of Multistack's internal and customer-facing software applications. You will work closely with developers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development life cycle to validate new features, identify defects, and support dependable releases. Testing will primarily support our backend-driven Next.js/C# application and new tooling built within a larger connected system.
Responsibilities:
Create and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance tests.
Test applications across our C#/.NET, Next.js/React, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL environment.
Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
Test APIs and validate application data using SQL.
Work with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and release risks.
Maintain test plans and regression coverage for key workflows.
Support release validation and contribute to QA processes, standards, and documentation.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of professional software QA, testing, or related technical experience.
Experience creating and executing software test cases.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and defect documentation skills.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Experience testing APIs; GraphQL experience is a plus.
Familiarity with modern web applications, React, and C#/.NET.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and bug/work-item tracking tools such as Azure DevOps.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a small development team.
Nice to
Have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks.
ISTQB certification.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure.
Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Background or interest in the HVAC industry.

Pay:
$25.29 - $30.45 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
