This role will focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of Multistack's internal and customer-facing software applications. You will work closely with developers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development life cycle to validate new features, identify defects, and support dependable releases. Testing will primarily support our backend-driven Next.js/C# application and new tooling built within a larger connected system.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance tests.
  • Test applications across our C#/.NET, Next.js/React, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL environment.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
  • Test APIs and validate application data using SQL.
  • Work with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and release risks.
  • Maintain test plans and regression coverage for key workflows.
  • Support release validation and contribute to QA processes, standards, and documentation.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of professional software QA, testing, or related technical experience.
  • Experience creating and executing software test cases.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and defect documentation skills.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience testing APIs; GraphQL experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with modern web applications, React, and C#/.NET.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and bug/work-item tracking tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a small development team.
Nice to
Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks.
  • ISTQB certification.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Background or interest in the HVAC industry.

Pay:
$25.29 - $30.45 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
