POSITION SUMMARY

The Beaker System Analyst provides analytical, technical, and implementation support of our world class Epic EHR with a primary focus on our Beaker application for Hattiesburg Clinic's Lab & Pathology workflows. Beaker System Analysts are responsible for implementing system upgrades, building requested enhancements to the system and any related third-party applications, testing, maintenance, as well as having a working knowledge of Cogito's reporting capabilities, plus assisting with resolution of end-user issues.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent, required Degree in laboratory science, computer science, mathematics, health informatics, public health, any natural science or related discipline, required In lieu of a formal degree, relevant healthcare experience may be considered Lab/Pathology experience, preferred Working knowledge of an EHR and clinical workflows, preferred

Strong discretion and ability to handle confidential information Composure in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments Willingness and ability to learn new technologies Dependable, punctual, and highly detail‑oriented Strong multitasking and independent‑work capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Accurate documentation skills Ability to follow established workflows consistently Current Epic certification or the ability to successfully complete and maintain certification It is required to receive Epic certification within 6 months of hire and will require some travel Overtime may be required
