STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is seeking a Product Configuration Specialist. This position is responsible for performing advanced technical and administrative work requiring specialized knowledge in the evaluation of customer requirements, regulatory compliance obligations, engineering documentation, and manufacturing capabilities. Serves as a key technical resource responsible for analyzing contract requirements, assessing and mitigating risk, developing processes, and recommending actions that impact operational performance. Interfaces with cross-functional teams across the organization to facilitate smooth transfer of technical deliverables through all stages of the Product Life Cycle.

Develops, updates, and revises product-related data associated with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) requirements.

Administrator for the Change Control Board and Engineering Change Control Process. Facilitates and tracks requests for manufacturing tooling and fixtures generated from Contract Review.

Technical support associated with Value Added Distributors (VAD). FAA-PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval), FAA-TSO (Technical Standard Order), and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).Supports aerospace contract review activities by evaluating customer purchase order requirements, drawings, specifications, quality clauses, flow-down requirements, regulatory requirements, delivery expectations, and technical feasibility prior to order acceptance or release to production.

Evaluates complex customer, regulatory, and technical requirements and exercises independent judgment in determining compliance, manufacturability, and organizational capability to meet contractual obligations for process, inspection, certification, configuration, and export compliance.

Communicates contract review exceptions and risk to management.

Provides technical recommendations regarding acceptance, rejection, or modification of contract requirements based on risk, capability, and compliance assessments.

Coordinates with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Customer Service to ensure contract review outputs are properly translated into ERP/PLM data, routers, bills of material, inspection plans, tooling needs, and production documentation.

Assess new or revised changes to customers and 3rd party specifications.

Develop Standard Operating Procedures, compliance strategies, associated with Engineering tasks.

Analyzes engineering, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory data to identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and improve operational performance.

Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time.

QualificationsEducation and/or
Experience Education:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
Preferred Experience:
 Interpretation of Engineering Drawings and Customer Requirements, Item Masters, Bills of Material, Manufacturing Routers, Outside Processing, Semi-Finished Part Configurations, Aerospace Contract Review, Customer Purchase Order and Quality Clause Review, Data Management, Part Configuration and Management, Inspection Methods, First Article Inspection. Experience with using or working with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system such as Avante, SAP, Oracle, Epicor etc. Aerospace experience is a plus.
