Automation Analyst

Job Description

Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration or a related field; two years of experience in the implementation and support of business information systems; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Working knowledge of concepts of microcomputer technology and related software; of principles of office automation systems. Ability to analyze routine to moderately complex business problems for potential automation solutions; to document processes and procedures and develop training documentation; to troubleshoot and maintain computer hardware and software; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. Provide support to the Senior Automation Analyst in our office. Perform annual and monthly tax billings, process batch payment files of various types through our revenue collection system. Serve as one of our primary processors for our internal lock box. Maintain and troubleshoot office hardware and software and request work tickets when necessary. Serve on departmental and cross-functional teams for automation projects and other duties as assigned. Perform day to day maintenance and support of department business information systems. Performs and review daily, monthly and annual jobs and reports associated with departmental applications. Participates in the analysis and development of automated solutions to business problems. Confer with users to diagnose, investigate and solve computer hardware and software problems. Develop and conduct training in the use of computer systems and software for department staff. Consult with vendors and the IT department for technical support. Participate in the research and evaluation of new and enhanced hardware and software products. Perform other work as required. To maintain pay equity among staff, the ideal candidate will be offered $59,053 with flexibility based on direct experience. This position is part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.
