Senior Domain Engineer/Technical Lead
MDMS & AMI
Integration Location:
Monterey Park, California, United States (Remote)
Duration:
Long Term Duties and Responsibilities Lead technical execution across architecture, requirements, design, configuration, integration, testing, cutover, and stabilization activities. Work closely with third-party vendors and System Integrators (SI) to develop project schedules, define deliverables, deliver high-quality software, and achieve project milestones and objectives. Lead technical validation of MDMS, SI, and downstream integration workflows to confirm end-to-end solution readiness. Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, leading investigations, root-cause analysis, and implementation of permanent solutions. Research emerging application development products, programming languages, technologies, and standards to support procurement, development, and maintenance activities. Develop robust backend logic , optimize frontend performance, and ensure seamless system integrations. Design, execute, and monitor software performance tests on new and existing applications to identify errors, isolate areas for improvement, and support debugging. Apply appropriate Agile methodologies, SDLC processes, development tools, and technologies to manage technical and software development activities. Ensure user satisfaction through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of complex technical issues. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education Required:
4-year degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Preferred:
Bachelor s degree in computer science , Engineering, or Management Information Systems .
Experience Required:
8+ years of related experience .
Preferred:
5+ years leading complex software implementations involving cross-functional teams, external partners, and downstream applications. 3+ years managing technical resources. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to anticipate downstream impacts of architecture, design, and implementation decisions. Strong ability to communicate technical design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders . Ability to evaluate tradeoffs between performance, security, usability, and maintainability . Strong knowledge of advanced application architectures supporting scalability and maintainability . Knowledge of testing, deployment, and release practices for production systems. Strong skills in designing reusable components and shared services . Ability to lead complex development features and technical workstreams. Knowledge of database technologies and data integration solutions, including: Oracle Microsoft SQL Server REST APIs SOAP APIs Streaming technologies AWS / cloud-based development environments DevOps tools Knowledge of utility operations systems and data platforms, including: SAP Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS) Head-End Systems Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Knowledge of data analytics, monitoring, and reporting tools used to evaluate: System performance Data quality Operational trends Exceptions Strong collaboration, communication, and negotiation skills.
