Job Purpose:

The IT Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to security threats across the organization's systems and networks. This role plays a critical part in protecting company data, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the overall security posture of the business.

Duties:
  • Monitor security alerts and events, endpoint protection, and other cybersecurity tools.
  • Investigate suspected security incidents and support incident response activities.
  • Identify vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and networks, and recommend remediation actions.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and risk analyses.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Review firewall, intrusion detection/prevention, antivirus, and access control systems.
  • Support user access reviews and identity/access management processes.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and patch management.
  • Help maintain compliance with security standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, CMMC, and others as applicable.
  • Prepare security reports, documentation, and recommendations for management.
  • Provide security awareness guidance and training support for employees.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity best practices.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • [2-5] years of experience in IT security, information security, or a related IT role.
  • Knowledge of network security concepts, operating systems, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
  • Experience with security monitoring and incident response tools.
  • Understanding of vulnerability management and risk assessment practices.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
