Job Description

Aquent Studios is proud to partner with a leading global client in the transformative Life Sciences industry, an organization dedicated to pioneering breakthroughs that enhance global health. This company stands at the forefront of innovation, translating complex scientific discoveries into life-changing solutions that reach diverse audiences worldwide. Joining this team means contributing to a mission-driven environment where every visual story has the power to educate, inspire, and make a tangible impact on the world, directly influencing how groundbreaking solutions are experienced by global audiences. Role Overview Transform complex workflows into seamless, elegant digital interactions on a global scale. Partnering with cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, visual designers, and researchers, you will define how users engage with next-generation digital products. This role bridges the gap between high-level user experience strategy and concrete digital interfaces, focusing deeply on system architecture, screen states, micro-interactions, and high-fidelity prototyping.
Key Responsibilities Interaction Architecture & User Flows:
Map end-to-end user journeys, task flows, detailed wireframes, and interaction models that solve complex product challenges. High-Fidelity Prototyping in
Figma:
Build robust, realistic interactive prototypes using advanced Figma features (components, interactive variants, variables, auto-layout, and expressions) to evaluate usability and communicate functional logic.
State & Edge-Case Definition:
Define comprehensive interface behaviors, edge cases, transitions, error handling, and component state changes (hover, active, disabled, loading) to ensure intuitive experiences across platforms.
Design Systems Collaboration:
Partner closely with visual designers and front-end engineers to contribute interactive component specs, guidelines, and behavioral patterns to the shared design system.
Concept Validation & Usability Testing:
Partner with user researchers to run usability sessions on interactive Figma prototypes, translating evaluative findings into actionable iterative refinements.
Technical & Engineering Handoff:
Document interaction specifications, transition curves, and component behaviors clearly for engineers to ensure pixel-perfect and motion-accurate implementation.
Stakeholder Alignment:
Articulate interaction rationale, user-centric behavioral models, and design trade-offs across multidisciplinary product teams.
Qualifications Must-Have Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of dedicated experience as an Interaction Designer, Product Designer, or UX Designer specializing in digital product interfaces.
Tooling Expertise:
Advanced mastery of Figma as your primary tool, including deep experience with component architecture, auto-layout, interactive components, tokens, and variables.
Portfolio Requirement:
A strong design portfolio highlighting end-to-end interaction design problem-solving, detailed user flows, system thinking, and dynamic interactive Figma prototypes.
Interaction Foundations:
Strong grasp of human-computer interaction (HCI) fundamentals, cognitive load management, mental models, standard web/mobile interaction patterns, and responsive layout behavior.
Agile Collaboration:
Proven background working within cross-functional, iterative agile product teams alongside product managers and software engineers.
Communication:
Clear verbal and visual presentation skills to convey interaction mechanics and justify design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications Technical Awareness:
Foundational knowledge of front-end capabilities and constraints (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to optimize collaboration and feasibility with development teams.
Accessibility:
Deep familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), keyboard navigation patterns, and inclusive design practices.
Complex Systems Experience:
Prior background designing for enterprise software, workflow tools, or creative professional suites.
User Research Experience:
Hands-on experience moderating prototype usability sessions or analyzing interaction heatmaps and behavioral analytics.
