Job Description
Job Description OverviewWe are seeking a UI Artist to help create engaging, intuitive, and visually polished user experiences for large-scale interactive products. In this role, you will collaborate closely with UX Designers, Technical UI Designers, and Engineers to transform wireframes and concepts into high-fidelity interfaces that balance usability, visual quality, and technical implementation.
You will contribute to the design, prototyping, and implementation of UI systems while helping deliver experiences used by a global audience.
What You'll DoCollaborate with UX Designers, Technical UI Designers, and Engineers to create high-quality UI experiences.
Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, design systems, and style guides.
Design and implement menus, HUDs, iconography, UI materials, shaders, animations, and motion graphics.
Translate wireframes and concepts into polished, production-ready interfaces.
Implement UI art within Unreal Engine using UMG, materials, and animation systems.
Create material effects, visual treatments, and lightweight Blueprint functionality as needed.
Help maintain consistency across UI systems through established design standards and component libraries.
Contribute to feature development from concept through final implementation.
Collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, cross-functional development environment. Skills and Requirements You have 3-5+ years of experience working collaboratively to create UI from concept to completionExcellent visual design skills with a strong portfolioYou are skilled with Figma, Adobe Suite, or other comparable softwareA strong portfolio of work showcasing your skills and your processExperience with UI Art implementation, in Unreal Engine (UMG) or equivalent game engineExperience with building UI materials & shaders for game engines, or equivalent 3d packages and FX tools; motion design & UI animation, preferably for games or interaction designYou have the ability to see features through to completion and rapidly modify work as information changesYou have a passion for making and playing games and have a strong sense of player empathyYou are a proactive individual who naturally leans into owning outcomes and is able to deal with ambiguity well and adapt to changes of plan quicklyExperience developing responsive UI (Mobile apps, Websites, etc.)Experience with coding shadersExperience with optimization and debuggingMathematical foundation (Apply linear algebra, vector math, matrix transformations, and dot/cross products, etc.)Experience with frontend coding (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.) We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
