Annual Salary Range:
$67,100- $98,900 The successful candidate's placement in the salary range will depend upon previous experience in a similar role. The City of Tempe offers a comprehensive benefits package including: 13 Paid Holidays and 1 Personal Day Vacation Accrual starts at 9.33 hours/month. Higher monthly vacation accrual rates may be available with prior ASRS service. RC#902499 DESCRIPTION / ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
This position produces graphic design work for various projects, from small materials to large facility graphics. Manages marketing materials, coordinates photography services, and supports communication campaigns with Public Information Officers. Assists with website training and updates content to ensure consistent branding and outreach. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: ¿Conceptualizes and develops deliverables for visual communication and marketing for digital and print distribution. Oversees and enforce City branding guidelines for outward facing material. ¿Optimizes City website by removing outdated material and documents, fixing broken links, and removing unused images. ¿¿Generates analytic reports and analyzes data to create reports for marketing¿ purposes. Consults with department decision makers to determine method of delivery for campaigns. ¿Collaborates with department to develop content strategies that support public information goals. Maintains consistency with City branding across all digital and print materials ¿¿Trains and supports departmental web content contributors on content management system.¿ Ensures compliance with Americans with Disability Act (ADA) web accessibility standards and implements Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices. May perform responsibilities of a similar nature and level as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
One (1) year of experience in graphic design, website creation/management, or related experience. Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant's full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.
Education:
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in ¿Graphic design, Media, Photography, Communication, Journalism or related field.
