About PMC Media Group PMC Media Group is a full-stack creative brand marketing agency built for brands ready to grow. We bring strategy, creative, technology, media, and cinematic storytelling together to create powerful brand experiences that captivate audiences, drive engagement, and generate measurable business impact. Our work spans healthcare, building and construction, restaurants and food service, education, professional services, and consumer brands. We operate in a fast-paced, high-volume agency environment where creativity, strategic thinking, collaboration, and exceptional execution matter. We're looking for a Website Developer who brings together exceptional creative instincts, modern design thinking, strong WordPress development capabilities, and a strategic marketing mindset. About the Role The Website Developer will play a central role in designing, developing, launching, maintaining, and continuously advancing websites for PMC and our clients. This is a hands-on role for someone with 3 or more years of professional experience who understands that exceptional websites are equal parts brand experience, creative design, technology, user experience, marketing strategy, and performance. Strong WordPress development experience is a must. This is not a design-only position. You should be comfortable taking a website from initial strategy and concept through design, development, testing, launch, maintenance, and continuous optimization. We are looking for someone who can push beyond predictable templates and conventional website design to create modern, memorable digital experiences that feel distinct to each brand. You'll collaborate across strategy, creative, digital marketing, content, and account management while taking meaningful ownership of multiple website projects in a fast-paced agency environment. The role will also support the continued development, expansion, and management of PMC's internal agency management platform, helping us build smarter digital systems, workflows, integrations, and capabilities as the agency grows. What You'll Own Website Design & Creative Experience Design modern, visually compelling websites that translate brand strategy into powerful digital experiences. Bring a creative,out-of-the-box approach to website design while maintaining exceptional usability and performance. Push beyond standard templates and predictable layouts to create websites with distinct visual identities, movement, personality, and purpose. Develop site architecture, wireframes, page concepts, user journeys, and responsive layouts. Apply strong UX/UI principles across desktop, tablet, and mobile experiences. Create thoughtful interactions, transitions, animations, and visual experiences where they strengthen the brand and user journey. Design conversion-focused landing pages and digital experiences aligned with broader marketing objectives. Maintain exceptional standards for typography, hierarchy, spacing, imagery, navigation, interaction, and overall design consistency. Stay current with evolving website design trends and bring fresh creative thinking into PMC's digital work. WordPress Development Independently build, develop, customize, test, and launch sophisticated WordPress websites. Translate approved designs and creative concepts into polished, responsive, high-performance digital experiences. Develop and customize page layouts, templates, themes, components, plugins, and website functionality. Work confidently within modern WordPress environments and leading visual development frameworks. Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and working PHP knowledge to customize and troubleshoot website experiences. Configure and integrate forms, CRM systems, APIs, analytics, marketing technology, third-party applications, and conversion tools. Manage staging environments, QA, deployments, domains, DNS, hosting, SSL, redirects, backups, and website launches. Maintain website security, plugin health, compatibility, and overall technical integrity. Diagnose and resolve website issues efficiently while maintaining a high standard of client service. WordPress development is a core requirement of this position. Website Maintenance & Client Support Manage ongoing website maintenance, updates, enhancements, troubleshooting, and optimization across a portfolio of PMC client websites. Work within ticketing and support systems such as Zendesk to manage incoming website requests efficiently and professionally. Prioritize and execute multiple maintenance tickets while balancing active website builds and development priorities. Troubleshoot technical issues, plugin conflicts, broken functionality, performance issues, integrations, and front-end display problems. Manage content, imagery, page, navigation, form, functionality, and other ongoing client website updates. Maintain clear communication around ticket status, requirements, dependencies, and completion. Proactively identify opportunities to improve client websites rather than approaching maintenance as simply completing requested edits. Help ensure PMC client websites remain secure, current, functional, optimized, and aligned with evolving business and marketing needs. Digital Innovation & Internal Platform Development Help manage the continued development and expansion of PMC's internal agency management platform as the agency's operational and technology needs evolve. Work with internal teams to identify opportunities for new functionality, improved workflows, integrations, automation, and platform enhancements. Translate internal business needs into practical digital solutions and help coordinate their implementation. Test, document, deploy, and continuously improve new platform functionality. Help manage integrations between internal systems and third-party technology. Evaluate emerging website technologies, platforms, plugins, integrations, AI-enabled tools, and development approaches that can strengthen PMC's digital capabilities. Bring curiosity and initiative to identifying smarter, faster, and more scalable ways of working. Website Performance, SEO & Analytics Build technical SEO best practices into websites from the ground up. Implement metadata, redirects, schema, XML sitemaps, indexing controls, and search-friendly site architecture. Optimize Core Web Vitals, page speed, image delivery, caching, and overall website performance. Apply accessibility best practices and modern web standards throughout design and development. Work with GA4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking. Understand evolving search behavior, including foundational SEO, AEO, and emerging AI-driven discovery. Partner with PMC's digital marketing team to ensure websites support attribution, campaigns, lead generation, conversion, and measurable performance. Strategic Marketing & Client Presentation Think beyond the website itself and understand how digital experiences support a client's broader brand, marketing, lead generation, and business objectives. Bring a strategic marketing perspective to website architecture, user journeys, content hierarchy, calls to action, and conversion opportunities. Participate actively in client discovery and help translate business and marketing objectives into website strategy. Confidently present website strategy, creative concepts, design direction, functionality, and recommendations directly to clients. Clearly articulate the strategic thinking and rationale behind creative and technical decisions. Present professionally and confidently to marketing leaders, business owners, and executive stakeholders. Bring proactive ideas and recommendations to clients rather than simply executing requests. Project Management & Agency Collaboration Successfully manage multiple website builds, maintenance requests, tickets, deadlines, and competing priorities within a high-volume agency environment. Work confidently within project management and agency workflow platforms to manage tasks, timelines, tickets, approvals, documentation, and deliverables. Collaborate closely with strategists, designers, copywriters, digital marketers, account managers, and clients throughout the website process. Participate in discovery sessions, website strategy, sitemap development, creative reviews, QA, launches, and client presentations. Translate client objectives and feedback into thoughtful design and development solutions. Communicate project progress, dependencies, technical considerations, and potential roadblocks clearly and proactively. Take ownership of assigned projects while knowing when to collaborate, escalate, and bring additional expertise into the process. Move confidently between large website builds, smaller development projects, maintenance requests, internal initiatives, and client-facing responsibilities. Maintain PMC's standards for creativity, responsiveness, accuracy, and execution even when multiple priorities are moving simultaneously. You don't need to check every box. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation, great energy, proven WordPress capabilities, excellent creative instincts, and the ambition to continue developing their craft. Who Thrives at PMC You are equal parts creative thinker, developer, strategic marketer, digital problem solver, and passionate about the role and your work.
