By joining our Department of Aviation as a Helicopter Pilot in Franklin County, you'll have the opportunity to work in a positive and team-oriented environment that serves the state through the Department of Aviation's flying services. Flight missions include mine reclamation aerial surveys, Fish & Wildlife surveys, Counter Drug flights with State Police and Air Guard, as well as flying department personnel on state business across multiple cabinets.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Pilot in Command (PIC) of a Bell 206 Helicopter on state missions to include Operates turbine powered helicopter in the transportation of personnel and aerial services for state agencies. Plans and coordinates flight planning and mission coordination with customers Maintains aircraft records, prepares and submits records and reports required by the state and the FAA. Conducts maintenance acceptance flights and aircraft reposition flights. Ideal candidate will have experience in: Operation of Bell 206 helicopters in a mission oriented capacity Documented flight operations experience in a team environment Experience transporting passengers Experience operating in rough or mountainous terrain Experience in operational planning, maintaining aircraft records, and regulatory compliance

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
(AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must have a valid commercial pilot's license with a helicopter rating and an instrument rating, with a minimum of 1,500 hours of flying time, which must have been in helicopters. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
