Bus Driver | Regular Route and Substitute Gilbert Community School District is seeking licensed school bus drivers to join our transportation team. We are currently looking for drivers interested in a regular daily route, substitute driving, or a combination of route and activity driving .

Position Options Regular Route Driver:

Provide safe and reliable transportation for students on an assigned morning and afternoon route on scheduled school days.

Substitute Driver:

Provide route coverage as needed when regular drivers are unavailable. This is a great option for qualified drivers looking for a flexible schedule without committing to a daily route.

Activity and Trip Driving:

Additional opportunities may be available for athletic events, field trips, activities, and other district transportation needs, including some evenings and weekends. Qualifications Applicants must currently hold the appropriate credentials to operate a school bus, including: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Required passenger and school bus endorsements Current DOT physical/medical certification Ability to meet all state and federal school bus driver requirements Acceptable driving record and successful completion of required background checks Dependability and a strong commitment to student safety Primary Responsibilities Safely transport students to and from school and district activities Complete required pre trip and post trip inspections Follow assigned routes, schedules, traffic laws, and district procedures Maintain a safe and respectful environment for students Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and transportation personnel Report vehicle, safety, or student concerns promptly We welcome applicants interested in regular daily driving, substitute coverage, activity trips, or a combination based on district needs and driver availability .
