Job Description

Activity Assistant/Bus Driver at Brownsburg Meadows Assisted Living Part-time The Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents. With warmth, patience, and genuine care, they help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued. The Community Bus Driver plays a critical role for our residents by providing transportation services to and from appointments and activities.
Skills Needed:
    Creativity:
    Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that suit different physical and cognitive abilities.
      Supportive Presence:
      Being able to truly connect with residents, understanding their emotional and social needs.
        Teamwork:
        The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents. Cooperating closely with the care team to support residents holistically.
          Time Management:
          Balancing daily schedules, multiple residents, and activity prep.
            Physical Abilities:
            Stamina, strength and endurance to safely transport residents in and out of the vehicle utilizing ramps, wheelchair tie downs and lifts.
              Safety Focused:
              Ability to provide safe and secure travel for our residents.
              Requirements:
              • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff. Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence
              • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
              • Must be 25 years or older.
              • Operator's license in good standing.
              • CNA certification preferred but not required.
