Baton Rouge, LA — Dedicated private school routesSchedule:
Part-time, 25-32 hrs/week; starting at 5:30 AM, Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays and after-school trips Pay & Benefits $18-$20/hour , based on experience Consistent, dedicated private-school routes Opportunities to support after-school activities and field trips / potential overtime Must Be Great with Kids Applicants must be friendly, patient, and child-focused . A top-tier school-bus driver not only ensures safety but also creates a positive, welcoming atmosphere for students You'll interact daily with children—helping them board safely, guiding behavior, and supporting a calm, enjoyable ride Qualifications CDL Class B with valid Passenger (P) endorsement ("S" school-bus endorsement may be required) Minimum 12 months' Class B experience in past 3 years ( no recent grads ) Age 23+ , valid Medical Card Clean MVR , background check (including sex-offender registry), and pass DOT drug screen Must Be Great with Kids Key Responsibilities Safely operate the same morning route to the private school Assist children boarding and disembarking Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections Enforce safety rules and manage student behavior Maintain bus cleanliness and order Coordinate with school staff, dispatch, and parents Provide safe transportation for after-school activities and field trips , including handling flexible schedules Ideal Candidate Reliable and punctual , especially for early-morning hours Calm under pressure —able to manage student behavior and unexpected events with poise.
