The John Carroll School in Bel Air, Maryland is in search of a qualified candidate to drive a 15 passenger van or 20 passenger bus as needed for the geographical area of Baltimore, Cecil and/or Harford counties. This is a substitute position to be utilized as needed so hours will vary. There are opportunities for additional hours as needed. As our school grows and bus routes expand, this position could transition into a part-time position up to 12 hours per week. Duties & Responsibilities Reliably transporting students safely to and from school on a designated route Practice student safety, customer service, and professionalism Understand and implement verbal and written instructions and communicate clearly Recognize and report safety and vehicle maintenance issues in a timely manner ‍ Qualifications Be at least 18 years old and have/maintain a valid state driver's license Have ability to drive a 15 passenger minibus/van or 20 passenger bus in compliance with Maryland state traffic laws Be able to complete a Maryland State Department of Education Employment History Review Form Pass a background check Have a clear driving record ‍ How to apply Qualified candidates should provide a resume, provide three (3) professional supervisory references.
