Job Description

Looking for School bus drivers for the 2026-2027 school year. Here at South Lyon Community Schools our drivers are top notch in securing our future by transporting the future leaders of our community safely to and from school. Start training now so you are ready to drive in September. Not currently a driver ? No problem , Paid training is provide for you to become one of the best school bus drivers. Before School Route Between 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM After School Route Between 1:45 PM - 5:00

PM Wage:

Starting pay $21.33 per hour /or

YEARS OF SERVICES

accountable for possible increase.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Knowledge of all traffic laws, regulations, road signs and related information. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn and comprehend information from procedures manuals and other materials. Ability to comprehend and follow traffic signs required. Ability to physically move through the bus. Ability to maintain composure and perform responsibilities under pressure and in cases of accidents or other emergencies. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
