PAY RATE
]/hour Monday-Friday schedule Morning and afternoon routes No regular weekend or holiday work School-year schedule Paid CDL training No previous school bus driving experience required Opportunity to pick up additional hours with field trips, activities, and other available work Make a difference in the lives of local students No CDL? We'll Train You. You do not need a CDL to apply. Palmer Bus Service provides paid, in-house CDL training and support throughout the process. We'll help you obtain the licenses and endorsements needed to become a school bus driver. What You'll Do As a School Bus Driver, you'll be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, activities, and other authorized destinations.
Responsibilities include:
Safely operate a school bus on an assigned route Pick up and drop off students at designated stops Complete required pre-trip inspections Follow all traffic laws and school bus safety regulations Maintain a safe and respectful environment for students Communicate with school and Palmer Bus Service staff as needed Report accidents, incidents, or vehicle concerns Complete required route and safety documentation Check the bus at the end of each route to ensure no student remains onboard Keep the bus clean and report maintenance needs What You Need Must be 18 years of age or older Valid Minnesota driver's license Ability to pass a background check Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test Ability to obtain a DOT medical card Safe driving history Reliable attendance Ability to work responsibly and professionally with students A Job That Makes a Difference School bus drivers play an important role in a student's day.
