Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
  
• Successful completion of a criminal background check

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Ability to interact and communicate with students in a positive manner
  
• Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements. High degree of attention and considerable dexterity in securing of wheel chairs, application of personal restraint and preventing student behavior problems
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and co-workers
  
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  
• Knowledge and possession of First Aid/CPR certification where required by State/District/Regulations.
  
• Knowledge of School District bus transportation policies and procedures.
  
• Must be able to meet physical and medical requirements such as criminal background search and ability to meet the requirements of U.

S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Regulations (e.g. pre-employment, post-accident, random and reasonable suspicion testing).

Salary:

Nine months (177 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the District Transportation Salary Schedule. The work calendar is subject to change based on any Board approved revisions that may or may not be Permanent.

Conditions of Employment:

Ability to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and, upon an offer of employment, complete an Employee's Statement of Health and submit to a functional capacity evaluation at the District's expense to determine ability to perform job-related functions and fitness for duty.
