Summary
Provides transportation services to the campus community
Essential Job Functions
Operates a large capacity bus for the transportation of students and other passengers according to designated routes, schedules, and assignments
Drives to university bus stops to carry passengers to their destinations in a timely manner.
Performs and records pre-trip bus inspections prior to operation and tracks passenger counts
Reports malfunctions, as required by the department of transportation
Performs basic interior and exterior bus cleaning and maintains appropriate fuel levels
Assists with general maintenance duties during term breaks, as necessary
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Experience working in commercial driving or other related experience
Current/valid class A or B commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement
Current/valid medical certification
Ability to communicate, read and write proficiently in English
Excellent customer service skills
Interview process requires satisfactory completion of DOT road test, review of previous employment records, and pre-employment drug test

Manual dexterity to operate motorized equipment/vehicle
