Available Help for . Attend and successfully complete all classroom and hands-on training programs
. Learn to safely operate METRO buses on designated routes and schedules
. Obtain and maintain a valid Texas Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
. Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with routes, schedules, and fare information.
Maintain adherence to all METRO, DOT, and safety regulations.
Operate fare collection equipment and communication systems
. Report accidents, incidents, delays, or mechanical issues according to METRO procedures.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and required documentation.
Work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and split schedules as assigned.
Promote passenger safety and ensure compliance with agency policies.
Training Program Paid classroom and behind-the-wheel training.
Instruction in defensive driving, passenger safety, ADA procedures, and emergency response.
CDL permit and licensing assistance may be provided by METRO.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred or required.
